I first met Nyah when she was about 3 weeks old – I have a hard time believing time has flown by like that.. look at her! She’s grown into such a bubbly and sweet little toddler and I had the best time photographing her and her wonderful parents in honor of her big day. Nyah is One! Loved the outfits mom had picked out for her – it really accentuated Nyah’s sparkling personality and they all just looked fabulous together, wouldn’t you agree?
Oh Miss Emma, isn’t she the cutest? I’ve known this little beauty since she was a wee newborn – in fact, her newborn pictures were the first newborn pictures I’ve ever done! Time flies, that’s for sure. Here she is now, a gorgeous 5year old with an attitude so spunky and radiant, she can light up a room. As always, she kept me on my toes but rewarded me (and her mommy) with some crazy cute shots – here some of my faves:
Oh my, the fun we had! Last weekend, I had the most incredible time photographing my very first cake smash session and can I just say that I am ever so grateful my first cake smash client, little man Colton, was about as perfect as I could have hoped for? A little on the cautious side, he nevertheless enjoyed himself thoroughly and even spared us the legendary cake smash tantrum which, so I was told, is almost inevitable and simply part of the experience.. He was such a happy little dude, I had a blast with him and his mom, Holly.
Before we dove into the sugary mess though, we were headed out to Woodstock City Park to do a couple of outdoor shots, balloons and all. We had absolutely gorgeous early morning light and Colton was being the sweetest thing ever, making lots of eye contact and generally enjoying himself. I love my job! :)
Oh and don’t let me forget to mention my wonderful friend Jennifer Bourne from Bourne to Bake who provided the cute little cake and who I will be working with for future cake smash sessions as well.
See you again soon, guys! xo
Meet: James. I recently awarded him with the “Cutest Kid Ever” award on my facebook (well, no, not really, but I should, and he’d totally deserve it, too!) and forced his mom to grant me eternal rights to take his picture because I so love his little face. He is one of the happiest little boys I’ve ever met and his smile, I swear, can light up an entire room, bah, what am I saying, the entire county!
Long story short, after a couple of complications on all sides I finally got a chance to take his 1st-year pictures and we went to a tiny little area here in my neighborhood to do that.
It was late afternoon and just as I had hoped the light was absolutely fantastic – warm and golden and beautiful, just like our little birthday boy.
Take a look at some of the shots we got, isn’t he the most handsomest (is that a word?) mini-man ever? I know, right? Oh and James, it’s ok to slow down the growing-up now, it’s been too fast a year already. Promise us you’ll stay just like this for a little while longer!
