Virginia Mini Sessions | Norfolk, VA

Saturday, December 10th, 2011

So back in October I went up to Virginia, mainly to visit my sister in law and to shoot her family’s Christmas pictures – she has two adorable little girls and I always LOVE getting them in front of the camera; so much fun. In the process of planning the trip, it turns out some of my sis’ friends would be interested in mini sessions, so that’s what we did! My sister in law turned out to be not only a perfect location scout (most of these were done at Monkey Bottom Park right around the corner from the beach in Norfolk) but also a very talented – and much appreciated – assistant! All in all these sessions were great fun, very diverse (we had a newborn, several families, as well as one expectant mommy) and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Here some of the highlights:

Thanks everyone in Virginia and I hope to see you all again soon someday! xo

Alabama Mini Sessions at Children’s Harbor

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

And another attempt to catch up on my blogged sessions!

Back in the beginning of October, I had scheduled a handful of fall-inspired mini sessions at Children’s Harbor, Lake Martin, which turned out really wonderful. It was a long work day for me, probably the longest yet, but I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to shoot at a location so picturesque and pretty. Might have to do that again some time!

Landon – 12 Days new | Cartersville Newborn Photographer

Monday, December 5th, 2011

Oh Landon, oh Landon – such a sweet little guy! I actually got to visit this handsome little man twice (how lucky am I, right?) back in October because at our first appointment he wasn’t feeling all that great so mom and I decided to give it another shot once he did, which was just a few days later. While not the sleepiest of babies, he made up for it with his absolutely flawless skin, his sweet smiles, and his willingness to wear a tie! Needless to say, I fell in love and cannot wait to see him again, as well as his equally handsome big brother! Here some of my favorites (even though it was so tough to choose favorites from the huge amount of shots we got); hope you enjoy!

Expecting Kenji – Woodstock Maternity Photographer

Thursday, December 1st, 2011

For this session, I met Anna and her husband Michiyuki at Sweetwater Creek State Park down in Douglas County, GA and boy what a gorgeous location this turned out to be! I had never been there before and neither had Anna or her husband but since the two of them live about four hours away from me in South Georgia, we were sort of forced to find us a “half-way point”, which Sweetwater Creek happens to be. After looking at pictures online and reading about the different walking trails available to visitors, we agreed to give it a shot and I am so glad we did.

If you ever happen to find yourself in the middle of Georgia with time on your hands and in halfway decent shoes (flip flops are NOT recommended), go and check out this beautiful park – and make sure to bring mosquito spray, too ;)

Here some of my favorite shots from this wonderful and fun fall session with Anna and Michiyuki:

Thanks for letting me be your photographer for this wonderful and special session – I had so much fun with you! xo

Miss A. at Centennial Park | Atlanta Portrait Photographer

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Meet Miss A., who is a fellow German and friend of mine (and probably one of the smartest ones I have, mind you!). Barely out of her mid-20’s and soon-to-be a J.D., how awesome is that?! Anyway, long story short, I was beyond thrilled when Astrid won my free-session give away last month, in honor of reaching 500 Likers on my facebook (woohoo!!). We decided on Centennial Park downtown Atlanta as the venue for our shoot and that added an additional element of excitement to the whole thing, since I had never done a session downtown before.. I have to say, I loved it! The weather was fantastic, and despite the rustle and bustle Atlanta presents her visitors on any given Saturday with, we actually got to enjoy a fairly quiet Centennial Park, which of course helped finding us some gorgeous light (or better, shade) where and when we needed it. Here are some of the highlights from this shoot:

Thanks so much for coming out, Astrid! And next time I WILL bring my bathing suit and dive into that water fall, you just wait and see! ;)
