Little man Brandon, isn’t he handsome? Quite a lot of planning went into this newborn session – mom Alyssa (who’s been a dear and regular client of mine for quite some time now; Brandon being her and her husband Matt’s second child) had such cute ideas and to make sure we’d achieve even the slightly more elaborate poses, I brought along a dear friend and client of mine, Miss Jaimie, who did a wonderful job spotting, supporting and comforting B. and was all in all just great to have along for the session. Wish she could come along on all of my sessions! Love you Brandon, can’t wait to see you again soon!
Lizzy’s mom approached me regarding a tutu session which we scheduled as a studio shoot. Typically I don’t work with my black backdrop very often, but I had a ton of fun bringing it out for this. Lizzy has an amazingly cute personality and I hope to see her (along with her older sister) again for a future session!
I first had the pleasure of meeting Dylan at his newborn session and later again when he was three months old. Today I bring you six-month old Dylan who is simply dashing in red.
I am absolutely in love with her name; so adorable!
I’m not sure if you know this but, one of the number one challenges a newborn photographer faces is retouching baby’s skin! Newborn skin can usually present any and/or all of the following hurdles: Discoloration (from yellowish to purple to red), flakyness, acne bumps, dryness etc. etc. So when THIS little beauty came to visit me on her 7th day, you can imagine my delight upon noticing her absolutely perfect skin! In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby with skin so flawless! Editing her images was a total breeze, and I oooh and aaah over every single one of them. Oh, and did I mention I love her name? LOL
Here a couple of my favorite shots:
Cannot wait to see this little princess again!
Now, this little darling just stole my heart – so incredibly cute and happy and content; pure joy to photograph. She came to me all the way from Atlanta and am I glad she did! LOVE her pictures, especially the yellow/white set up! What do you think? Oh, and I’m also using a new blog layout thingie – no more frames, ALL picture. Thoughts? :)
Thanks so much for coming to see me, Nyah + parents! xo
Remember Patty, the glowing, gorgeous mom-to-be I photographed late last fall? Well, here is the little man responsible for all that glow: Meet Oliver. I am in love. ;)
Although not too sleepy, he was so very easy to work with and oh so handsome. I got to try out some of my newest props, like baby bow ties and newborn crown, as well as some of mom’s own props! So much fun!
I had an incredibly hard time choosing my favorite shots for this blog post but I hope it gives you a glimpse into how much I love my job.. ;)
Oh Landon, oh Landon – such a sweet little guy! I actually got to visit this handsome little man twice (how lucky am I, right?) back in October because at our first appointment he wasn’t feeling all that great so mom and I decided to give it another shot once he did, which was just a few days later. While not the sleepiest of babies, he made up for it with his absolutely flawless skin, his sweet smiles, and his willingness to wear a tie! Needless to say, I fell in love and cannot wait to see him again, as well as his equally handsome big brother! Here some of my favorites (even though it was so tough to choose favorites from the huge amount of shots we got); hope you enjoy!
The first things you’ll notice about this little darling will probably be her incredibly blue eyes – I know it was the first thing that struck me when I looked at these images after uploading them. I kid you not, I had to tone down the processing because of the blue-ness because I was afraid if I didn’t they’d look digitally enhanced or artificially colored or something! They really are THAT blue! Amazing!
Caroline is actually my sister-in-laws younger daughter and I was so thrilled to be able to do her pictures since we really don’t get to see them that often (they live up in Virginia and we’re down here in Georgia..). We had planned on doing a lot of outdoor stuff but, as so often, the weather had different ideas so we ended up doing 95% of the shoot inside, utilizing the light coming in through our big glass door in the breakfast area which worked great!
Hope I’ll see you again soon, Caroline! (Oh and the rest of your side of the family, too, of course LOL) Enjoy your pictures! <3
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet sweet little Shands this week – brandnew and beautiful and just about the most perfect little model one can wish for.
She slept through her entire session and only when it was time to pose together with mom and dad did she start opening her big dark eyes to check out the situation. Too cute! Mom and dad (and grandma!) did a great job warming up the house prior to my arrival so she was all snug and cozy and newborn-sleepy – perfect! She almost did too good for me – I walked away with about twice as many shots as I had expected or planned for, can you say A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.? (One happy photographer here, can you tell?)
Anyway, T. family – thank you so much for the opportunity to photograph your little girl, I enjoyed it so much and I hope you enjoy the end result! See you again soon (I’m thinking 6 months pics..? LOL)
