I first had the pleasure of meeting Dylan at his newborn session and later again when he was three months old. Today I bring you six-month old Dylan who is simply dashing in red.
Some of you might still remember Courtney’s Maternity Session I shot back when I myself was still carrying quite an impressive baby bump in front of me.. well, time flies when you’re having fun so now I am able to introduce handsome little Israel to my readers – isn’t he too cute for words? And SO alert! I was completely blown away by how awake and focused he was throughout his entire session. Luckily though, despite being so awake, he was completely calm and we were able to capture a ton of wonderful images, including a couple of family shots in the very end – such a little pro! Here some favorites:
Thank you guys so much for coming back for his newborn session – I hope I’ll see you and your little guy again sometime! ~Angie
Hard to believe it’s already been 3 months since I photographed sweet little Brooklyn with her three extremely handsome brothers, one of which, Colton, I already had the pleasure of meeting last year, around his first birthday!
Just like last time, we had gl;orious weather down in Woodstock City Park and even went indoors for a couple of portraits afterwards. Miss Brooklyn was such a sweetheart and in a wonderful mood for her session – love it!
I’m secretly keeping my fingers crossed her momma will let me see Miss B. again for her first-birthday pictures! You know where to find me, Holly ;)
I cannot believe how badly I’ve been neglecting my beloved blog! I had planned on keeping it going and updated through my baby break but I admit my heart wasn’t in it in the end and I decided to just wait until after baby Eliot was born before posting.
So here I am, and I’ve got TONS to catch up on. First off, can you say G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S.? Momma-to-be Courtney and husband T.K. came to see me out at Leita Thompson Memorial Garden back in March. We had a lot of fun and I can’t help but wonder what people were thinking that saw us (me, the already very pregnant lady and Courtney, also visibly pregnant) :D
Anyway, here some of my many many favorite shots from this wonderful and fun maternity session:
I bet you can tell I am incredibly excited about baby Israel’s arrival, which is pretty much going to happen any day now! Can’t wait to see you guys again, Courtney and T.K., and meet your little man!
Shooting after heavy rainfall is always a little bit tricky but this gorgeous family of four sure made up for the not-so-easy lighting situation! On top of humidity, haze and super wet grass, my camera seemed to have an off-day as well (locking up every once in a while) but thankfully the issue has been resolved since then. Despite all of these little quirks, I feel that we’ve walked away with incredibly pretty pictures and as always, I had a very hard time deciding which ones to use on the blog.
I hope you enjoyed my little selection – thank you so much, M. family, for letting me be part of your visit up here in Georgia! Hope to see you again soon!
Hello and Happy New Year!
For my very last session of 2011, I had the pleasure of photographing my wonderful friend Patty, who is expecting her second son, along with her adorable husband Matt and firstborn Gabriel.
We headed out to beautiful White Oak Park in Dallas, GA – a park I absolutely love and adore and don’t really get to see very often anymore ever since moving to Cherokee County. All our fingers were crossed the weather would hold for us and while it was prrretty chilly out there, we had a beautiful sky, wonderfully diffused light and just enough of a breeze going to not make us uncomfortable. Here are some of my favorite shots from this lovely pregnancy slash family session:
I SO cannot wait to meet your newest little man! xo
Phew, being out of the country for a couple of days sure threw me out of the loop. I realized yesterday that I’ve completely forgotten to blog the beautiful H. family that I got to meet right before my impromptu trip to Germany. So without further ado, here they are!
Thanks for having me, Rebecca and David – can’t wait to see you and your two little angels again soon!!
Some of you may remember these two from a previously blogged family session – this time around it was Neil’s and Stephanie’s time to have my camera all to themselves. We worked our way through downtown Cartersville and were able to catch some wonderful light, especially towards the end of our session with the sun setting right behind us. Other than the fact that I find this couple amazingly easy to photograph, I have to say they are also one of the funnest to work with – I was in stitches half of the time, I swear. :)
Hope you guys like your pictures!
Boy, I am utterly behind on blog entries – never thought I’d be able to say that so excuse me while I’m enjoying being so B.U.S.Y. :)
This session was a blast! The H. family is definitely one of the funnest I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing. They have energy, humor, they’re spontaneous and wonderfully open to, well, pretty much whatever, as long as it’s fun and ends up looking good in pictures. ;) I enjoyed this shoot a lot and I think Woodstock’s City Park, despite it being rather smallish, is really growing on me. I love the light there, especially late in the afternoon and I love the random flowers, flowering bushes and trees that add just the right amount of pop to a lot of shots.
Anyway, long story short; here’s some of this family session’s favorites:
Thanks for having me, H. family! See you again soon!
I was pretty excited about this session, not only because I am ALWAYS excited to do belly pictures, but because this was the very first time I would do a maternity session primarily outdoors. I was a little nervous as to whether I would get the poses right, whether the two of them would be ok with my rather frazzled way of going about things (I like to keep things spontaneous and most times really don’t have a 100% laid out plan as to what I’m going to shoot and how) and of course I was also anxious about the weather. Long story short, I was nervous. LOL
Turns out, none of my concerns were justified: The weather was absolutely phenomenal; not too much sun, not too cloudy – just right for my taste. The “posing” question pretty much vanished into thin air as soon as we got started because both Jim and Monica are such unbelievable naturals in front of the camera that I hardly had to waste a thought on what would look right and what wouldn’t. Seriously stunning. And they also took care of concern number three and my fear of seeming a little clueless as to the sequence of things: They went right along with it and made these 2 1/2 hours of constant shooting fly by like a walk in the park. Loved it!
Thank you both, Monica and Jim, for coming out and giving me the opportunity to be my frazzled self and still end up with (what I think) absolutely beautiful pictures of a gorgeous couple and their super cute baby belly :) I can’t wait to see you again later this summer! (hint, hint)
Here’s a small glimpse into what we walked away with last Saturday:
