Miss Julia | Sandy Springs Newborn Photographer

Friday, February 1st, 2013

This little sweetie was such a joy to photograph – so sleepy and smiley and relaxed, even for her awake shots she did a perfect job. I had the pleasure of meeting both her mom and her dad, as well as grandma! Meet … Beautiful Julia:

Navy – 7 days new | Woodstock, Canton Newborn Photographer

I am absolutely in love with her name; so adorable!

I’m not sure if you know this but, one of the number one challenges a newborn photographer faces is retouching baby’s skin! Newborn skin can usually present any and/or all of the following hurdles: Discoloration (from yellowish to purple to red), flakyness, acne bumps, dryness etc. etc. So when THIS little beauty came to visit me on her 7th day, you can imagine my delight upon noticing her absolutely perfect skin! In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby with skin so flawless! Editing her images was a total breeze, and I oooh and aaah over every single one of them. Oh, and did I mention I love her name? LOL

Here a couple of my favorite shots:

Cannot wait to see this little princess again!

Spring is Here! | Georgia Outdoor Photographer

Monday, March 21st, 2011

O thou with dewy locks, who lookest down
Through the clear windows of the morning, turn
Thine angel eyes upon our western isle,
Which in full choir hails thy approach, O Spring!

The hills tell one another, and the listening
Valleys hear; all our longing eyes are turn’d
Up to thy bright pavilions: issue forth
And let thy holy feet visit our clime!

Come o’er the eastern hills, and let our winds
Kiss thy perfumèd garments; let us taste
Thy morn and evening breath; scatter thy pearls
Upon our lovesick land that mourns for thee.

O deck her forth with thy fair fingers; pour
Thy soft kisses on her bosom; and put
Thy golden crown upon her languish’d head,
Whose modest tresses are bound up for thee. {William Blake}

Isn’t Spring wonderful? I used to consider myself a “summer person”; I adored everything about the summer. The heat, the sounds, the laziness. Ever since moving to Georgia though, I think I have truly started to appreciate the subtle awesomeness of spring. Who needs temperatures in the 90’s anyway? What’s a cricket’s monotonous lament compared to the songs of cardinals, sparrows and robins? Anyway, you get my point – Spring is here and I couldn’t be happier.

Yesterday, I spent a couple of hours outside with my mother in-law, driving around, shooting away (pictures, that is) and ended up with several dozen gorgeous florals, some of which I thought I’d share here. Enjoy!
