Aayla… love her name, love her family, love everything about this little girl. This was her third session with me and I cannot wait for the next one. She has such a super cute personality; so laid-back and sweet, and her gorgeous eyes and perfect skin give me baby fever every time I see her. We had a fun time at Marietta’s Life College and I’m in love with every single shot from this session. See you again soon, Miss A.!
I cannot believe it’s been two months since I last blogged a session! Well, I have work to do! Let’s start with Miller, sweet Miller, whose mommy was so awesome and such a trooper for this almost impromptu outdoor session in the middle of the worst Atlanta summer heat. I got eaten up by mosquitoes but Miller’s mom told me he was just fine, and I just adore the images we captured at Leita Thompson Memorial Park. Here a few favorites:
Outdoor newborn sessions are definitely new terrain for me but I absolutely LOVE it. There’s just something about a brandnew baby out in the midst of nature – it’s a very calming and zen experience, I think. Definitely something I’d like to do more, weather-permitting of course. Hope to see you again soon, Miller! xo
I am absolutely in love with her name; so adorable!
I’m not sure if you know this but, one of the number one challenges a newborn photographer faces is retouching baby’s skin! Newborn skin can usually present any and/or all of the following hurdles: Discoloration (from yellowish to purple to red), flakyness, acne bumps, dryness etc. etc. So when THIS little beauty came to visit me on her 7th day, you can imagine my delight upon noticing her absolutely perfect skin! In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby with skin so flawless! Editing her images was a total breeze, and I oooh and aaah over every single one of them. Oh, and did I mention I love her name? LOL
Here a couple of my favorite shots:
Cannot wait to see this little princess again!
Now, this little darling just stole my heart – so incredibly cute and happy and content; pure joy to photograph. She came to me all the way from Atlanta and am I glad she did! LOVE her pictures, especially the yellow/white set up! What do you think? Oh, and I’m also using a new blog layout thingie – no more frames, ALL picture. Thoughts? :)
Thanks so much for coming to see me, Nyah + parents! xo
When I met Monica and Jim a few months ago for M.’s maternity session, I already had an idea that their little guy would be a super handsome one – I mean, just look at his parents! And boy, all I can say is, I was not disappointed! :)
Lots of dark hair, big dark eyes, a wonderful skin tone and the most adorable little frown on his forehead – that’s Atticus. Cuteness alert! While he wasn’t necessarily the sleepiest of babies for me, he certainly tried very hard and given the fact that his little tummy seemed to have bothered him a good bit, I couldn’t be happier with the results! I can’t wait to see this little man grow – come see me again soon!
Sweet dreams, little guy! xo
Initially, I had planned on doing Lucie’s Easter pictures outdoors again this year because, well, isn’t that what one would expect from someone who calls herself a “natural light outdoor photographer”? LOL Well, not quite.. I happen to be madly in love with my two new Savage paper backdrops, one of which happens to match Lu’s designated Easter dress so I thought “what the heck” and went with it. I have to say, I really adore the “banana” color – not only does it look amazingly sunny and happy in person, it also transforms very nicely with different types of post-processing, which is something I definitely look for and appreciate in a backdrop.
So without further ado, here are the results of our 2011 Easter shoot – have a wonderful holiday everyone!
